Palace Pier Gingerbread House
Fay Millar’s masterpiece takes centre stage at the Sussex Business Show.
The gingerbread house, intricately detailed and adorned with colorful candies and frosting, captured the essence of the Brighton Palace Pier. From the amusement rides to the iconic pier gates, every aspect of the landmark was faithfully recreated in edible form, and the pier had the sea in blue underneath, which was stunning.
Fay Millar, who spent countless hours perfecting the details of this remarkable piece. Her skill and artistry were evident in every aspect of the gingerbread house, from the delicate sugarwork to the vibrant color palette.
The gingerbread house was auctioned off at the end of the Sussex Business Show, attracting bids from eager attendees. The final bid of over £500 demonstrated the public’s appreciation for this unique and beautiful piece of art.
The lucky winner, Matt Turner of Creative Pod got the highest bid with £500 and this unique gingerbread house based on The Palace Pier will be delivered to his offices in Crawley along with the Heart Sculpture created by Simon Shepherd. All proceeds will go to Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, this includes an additional donation from Flourish PPI which supported the show with the electronic gifting stations on the day which got gift donations from businesses for over £100.
