Inkie Fires Up the Arcade

The Best Stand Prize at this year’s Sussex Business Show went to the forward-thinking tech team at Inkie—and for good reason.

Simon, and his partner-in-crime Sophie, had spent countless late nights in his workshop building a fully playable Space INKvaders game from an assortment of technical parts he keeps tucked away in his garage. Every joystick, LED and circuit was hand-assembled, giving the stand an unmistakable homemade magic that fit the show’s retro-gaming theme perfectly.

Inkie claimed the Best Stand Award at Brighton Dome on 25 September which was sponsored by The Sussex Beacon.

After touring all ninety exhibitor stands, judges Maarten Hoffman and Lesley Alcock of Platinum Media Group. declared Inkie the clear winner. Their decision celebrated not only the build itself, but the spirit of innovation and dedication that Simon and Sophie poured into every detail.

For sheer creativity and hands-on brilliance, Inkie claimed the Best Stand Award at Brighton Dome on 25 September—a well-earned win that proves great ideas don’t just sit on screens; they come alive when people are brave enough to build them.
